 | Social Sailing is
an economical way to sail when you are on a budget or would prefer to just
pay for yourself rather than charter the whole yacht. Organise a group, bring a
friend or come on your own and meet new people. Book in advance or
call the day before. Conditions apply. Gift vouchers for
birthday or Christmas Gifts are available. |
 | How many People
- min 3, max 8. A Social Sail can still go ahead if only 1 or 2
people book provided they pay for three people. Let us know if
you'd like us to contact you when there is a social sail available. |
 | Midweek Social Sails are
from 10am -2pm and operate all year round except during the Christmas period
(1 Dec - 30 Jan) and on public holidays when you are welcome to book a Private Charter
or sailing lesson instead. The timing is aimed at getting you ashore in time to collect children
from school. We meet at Clontarf
Marina at 9.55am. The Clontarf Marina tender takes us out to Topcat.
We sail down Sydney Harbour to the Opera House and back to
Clontarf where the tender whisks us back ashore. |
 | Social sailors don't have
to participate in the sailing. If they want to just sit back and relax
that's fine, but
usually people like
to take turns in steering and trimming the sails - a good way to
gain extra sailing experience if you have done or are thinking of doing sailing
lessons or if you'd like the opportunity to practise your sailing skills. |
 | Ladies - a high
percentage of midweek
Social Sailors are ladies. However men are also very welcome.
|
 | Tourists - a
social sail is a great way for tourists to see Sydney Harbour |
 | Food and Drink -
Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided. Bring a sandwich to eat while we sail. Wine (white only) or
champagne are B.Y.O. |
 | Children - no
children under 14yrs.
